Standard Curtain Poles

Curtain Pole Packs, Finials, Holdbacks and extra Curtain Rings can be bought directly on this website. Pole Packs contain the necessary pole, brackets and curtain rings for a standard window. Choose Finials and Holdbacks separately from the Pole Packs to allow complete flexibility.

Bay Window Poles (back to top)

As Bay Window Curtain Poles are always a custom item, they cannot be ordered directly on the website. You will need to send us measurements specific to your bay window which we will evaluate. After you have sent us your bay information and the pole price has been confirmed and agreed, we will normally collect your payment details by phone or you can send a cheque or postal order. Confirmation of online orders

If you order online using a credit or debit card, you will receive an automatically generated confirmation email to the address you provide. In some rare cases the email may be lost as email is not always reliable. If you do not receive an email within 24hrs of placing your order, please notify us and we will check our records and send a confirmation. All payments and orders are carried out and checked manually and payments will not usually be taken until a delivery date has been confirmed with the customer.

The confirmation email does not constitute a binding contract. Pricing, calculation or other errors will not be honoured in any circumstances. We reserve the right to decline an order at our discretion. You have the right to cancel your order according to distance selling regulations (see below).

Ordering by phone (back to top)

If you prefer you can place your order by phone using your credit or debit card. Please call 01622 737717. All major cards are accepted.

Credit card orders received over the phone will not be processed until the goods are ready for dispatch.

All payment is required in full and all cheques will be cleared before goods are dispatched.

Payment Terms

Full remittance is required before any goods are dispatched, unless otherwise stated. All cheques will be cleared prior to dispatch of goods. Credit card payments will be processed when goods are ready for dispatch.

 

Delivery (back to top)

Delivery times

For Curtain Pole Packs and non-custom items please expect delivery within 14 days of placing your order. Bay window curtain poles will normally be delivered within 21 days of order confirmation. For other custom made items we will notify you separately. We will contact you in good time when the goods will be delivered. Contact us directly if you require specific delivery information or timed deliveries (these will require an extra charge).

At our discretion, credit card orders may only be sent to the address of the credit card holder and not to an alternative address.

Delivery costs

By it's very nature ironwork is heavy, although we try to keep delivery charges to a minimum.

Smaller items will be delivered by Royal Mail, larger items by courier which will need to be signed for. Courier deliveries will be made during weekday office hours unless Saturday Delivery option is chosen. Royal Mail items will be delivered Monday to Saturday. Specific delivery dates cannot always be given with Royal Mail.

  • Standard UK mainland £12.00 (Curtain Pole Packs, Bay Poles and larger orders exceeding 3kg)
  • Saturday UK mainland £30.00 (Curtain Pole Packs, Bay Poles and larger orders exceeding 3kg)
  • Royal Mail Recorded Delivery £3.00 - £10.00 (smaller items up to 3kg)

Except for particularly large orders, the £12 standard delivery will cover each consignment regardless of number of items.

Postage charges will be shown in the Shopping Basket prior to ordering.

Shipping overseas and timed deliveries

  • Overseas deliveries - which include Northern Ireland, UK islands and Republic of Ireland
  • Scottish Highlands
  • Timed delivery - before 9am / 10.30am / noon.
  • Timed Saturday delivery - before 9am / 10.30am / noon.

Online Security (back to top)

Online credit card orders are handled through a secure server and all credit card information is 128 bit encrypted when sent over the network. You will see a locked padlock or a completed key symbol in your browser (depending on type) and the https:// tag will appear in your browser's address bar. Please note that the website address of the service used to carry out our online transactions is http://ww10.aitsafe.com. This is perfectly secure and the information you submit will only be seen by us.

Credit card orders can only be made by the holder of the card. We may carry out checks on the authenticity of the card user. Please do not send credit card details by unsecured email.

Overseas orders (back to top)

Please contact us directly if you are a non-UK resident customer. It is not always possible to ship goods to some overseas destinations and shipping costs have to be obtained separately. Overseas orders placed via the website will not be completed even if an automated confirmation email is sent.

If you would prefer to order by post you can print out an order form here. For delivery prices please add items to Shopping Basket and calculate appropriate delivery option. Please contact us if you are unsure of delivery costs or you need a specific delivery option. If ordering from overseas you will need to contact us directly before placing an order.

Cancelling orders and returning goods (back to top)

Non custom items, such as Curtain Pole Packs, Curtain rings and Finials can be returned to us as long as you inform us within 7 days of receipt of goods that you wish to do so. You will need to arrange return postage back to us. Please note that the parcel and its contents are your responsibility until they reach us. We therefore recommend that you send them by registered mail, retaining proof of postage. Items must be returned to us in their original condition. The refund will include the original cost of the item plus the original carriage charge. Return postage is not refundable. Any discounts applied to the item at the time of sale will be applied to the refund. Refunds will be credited back via the original payment method, either back to your credit/debit card or by cheque.

For custom made items, such as Bay Window Poles, you can cancel your order up to 7 days after the order confirmation date. Cancelling your order after the 7 days cooling off period may incur costs which will be at our discretion. Custom made items cannot be returned to us unless they are faulty.

Please inform us of your intention to cancel an order or send back goods in writing, preferably by email.

Your statutory rights are not affected.
